Part 2: Unforgiveness ≠ Always the Reason You Can’t Hear God
- Posted on March 15, 2026
It’s easy to think that when we don’t clearly hear from God, it’s because of unforgiveness—but that’s not always true. While unforgiveness can create a block in our hearts, God doesn’t reveal everything all at once, and some things remain a mystery by His design.
Some key truths I’ve learned:
- God reveals things in His timing.
Many times, clarity comes gradually. Just like the disciples didn’t understand everything while walking with Jesus, God may give guidance in pieces, allowing understanding to grow over time. - Some things are meant to remain mysteries.
For example, the exact timing of the Rapture is not revealed to anyone—not even to Jesus’ closest followers. Not knowing doesn’t mean you’re being punished or that you’ve failed spiritually; it’s part of trusting Him. - God often speaks in parts, not the full picture.
Sometimes, as events get closer, God gives more signs or clearer guidance. A quiet season of not hearing from Him may simply mean you’re waiting for the next piece of the puzzle. - Lack of revelation is not necessarily due to sin.
While unforgiveness can block intimacy with God, every unanswered question or season of silence isn’t automatically a spiritual failure. God may withhold things simply because it’s not the right time, it’s not necessary for you to know, or it’s meant to remain a mystery.
In short, hearing God isn’t about perfection or having no sin—it’s about patience, trust, and staying open to the ways He chooses to reveal Himself.
