Consent must be freely given and can always be reversed/took back, meaning you can change your mind at any time, I remember in my teen years watching an episode of the hit 90’s show living single, Sinclair and Overton on this episode are considering to have sex, she at first was on board to go through with it, but mainly from her friends pushing her to do so and their own relationship encounters, she ended up changing her mind and he respected that, they both ultimately realized that they weren’t ready, both had signs of nervousness etc, they both thought they had to out of pressure from friends and ultimately because they had already kissed, eventually on a later episode they do have sex, but once they both are ready, it shows a healthy relationship is where consent and boundaries are respected. Being in a relationship, kissing, hugging, or holding hands doesn’t mean either party owes the other sex! Intimacy works best when both people feel safe, willing, and able to say yes—or no—without punishment, guilt, anger, or pressure. This also shows that pressure can happen to anyone at any age, teen or adult!
