Your Freedom and Healing Can Be Private
- Posted on March 8, 2026
I want to share something from my heart about church conferences, deliverance, and freedom. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with conferences or public events—they can be powerful for some people. But I can honestly testify that my own freedom and healing from my trauma came in private.
For me, a personal encounter with God—quiet, intimate, and one-on-one—was what brought true release. I’ve attended many conferences in the past that promised freedom and deliverance, and I left feeling disappointed, because nothing happened during or immediately afterward.
That’s not to say these events aren’t helpful; for some, public ministry works best. But I want to emphasize that a public event is never a guarantee of breakthrough. Healing and deliverance often happen in God’s timing, in ways that are unique to each person.
If you’re on a journey of healing, know this: it’s okay for it to be private. It’s okay if it doesn’t look dramatic. What matters is your heart and your encounter with God—whether in a room full of people or in a quiet moment alone.
Freedom is possible, and it comes in the way that’s right for you.
