Whether it’s dating, starting a business, writing a book, or stepping into a new season of life, many people say, “Wait until you’re fully ready and have everything together.” While it’s good to keep growing and bettering yourself, don’t let that mindset limit you.

The truth is: you do not have to be perfect to receive love, support, or blessings.

The right people will not only meet you where you are, but they will also encourage you to grow. Sometimes God sends people into your life who see your potential before you fully see it yourself.

For example, when I met my co-author, I was jobless, living at home, and not college educated. But she did not judge me by those things. She believed in me from the start and pushed me to believe in myself and do better.

Growth often happens while you are moving forward, not only before.

Come as you are—but stay open to growth.
