Words Spoken Over Us Can Change Our Lives
- Posted on March 29, 2026
In 2021, I walked into a church with no expectations. I was just seeking peace, guidance, maybe a sense of hope. But something extraordinary happened that day. The pastor, who had never met me before, spoke a truth over my life—he said I was healing from abuse.
At the time, it felt almost surreal. How could someone know that? But in that moment, I felt a spark of hope, a sense that God sees us, even in our deepest wounds, and He can use anyone to deliver His truth.
Now, looking back, I realize the power of that moment. The words spoken over me have come to pass. I am in a different place than I was in 2021. Healing has been a journey, with ups and downs, but I can see the progress clearly. I’ve moved from pain toward freedom, from brokenness toward restoration.
This experience reminds me that God can use people to affirm what He’s already doing in our lives. Sometimes, the encouragement, the prophecy, or the simple acknowledgment of our struggle is enough to start a transformation.
To anyone reading this: words spoken over us can plant seeds of change. Healing, growth, and breakthrough are possible, even when it seems impossible. And God can show up in ways we never expect—through strangers, through friends, through the whispers of faith that remind us we are seen, loved, and capable of moving forward.
