When God Shows Just a Piece of the Plan

  • Posted on March 31, 2026

I knew God told me to write a book đź“• when I was 16. What I didn’t know was what I would write about—rape, trauma, and pain so deep it could shake you. At 16, if God had revealed that part of the plan, I wouldn’t have understood. I wouldn’t have been ready.

Often, God only shows us a small portion of the path ahead. We’re given just enough to start walking, enough to step forward in faith. The rest unfolds in His timing, in ways we may not expect, and sometimes in ways that challenge us far more than we ever imagined.

Looking back now, I see why. The experiences, the growth, the understanding I’ve gained—they prepared me to write about these heavy topics with honesty, sensitivity, and hope. If everything had been revealed all at once, I might have been overwhelmed, confused, or even scared to follow the calling at all.

Life—and God’s calling—often works in pieces. He gives us the next step when we’re ready for it, not before. And even though the journey can be painful, it has purpose.

Writing this book isn’t just about my story—it’s about speaking for those who feel unheard, shedding light in dark places, and showing that even the hardest parts of our story can be used for something meaningful.
