They told TLC to change their look.To fix the way they wore their clothes. To soften their edge.To make themselves easier to consume.

Instead, TLC turned their hats to the back and kept going.

That’s how I feel about this book.

People want truth dressed differently—
less sharp, less honest, less disruptive.
They want the message without the discomfort,
healing without accountability,
and change without confrontation.

But I didn’t write this to be approved.
I wrote it to be true.

Like TLC, my refusal isn’t rebellion—it’s authenticity.
I won’t tailor my voice to protect systems that were never gentle with me.
I won’t rewrite my story to make others feel moral, holy, or unchallenged.

Some will say my tone is wrong.
Some will say my truth is too loud.
But history shows us this:
the people who refuse to change their style are usually the ones who change the culture.

So if my hat sits differently,
if my words don’t fit your rules,
that’s intentional. This is me—with my truth fully visible.
Hat to the back.
