Sexual abuse through words

I remember when I was in 8th grade, a boy had said to me you betta suck my d*** literally he said it just like that! Wow! This was a form of verbal sexual abuse, although he didn’t make me do anything physically this was still not okay at all! Words have power and words can build up or tear down. I remember my mom was furious and wanted to file a police report against this boy. We ended up talking to his mom and the principal instead though. Now the reality is many people are verbally abused sexually daily whether by peers, family or even a romantic partner or spouse. Let’s say you are married and you and your spouse are being intimate and they say something derogatory to you that makes you uncomfortable. Even if they use a derogatory word for body parts as mentioned above, d*** or p**** if you don’t feel comfortable with that or approve of them talking that way it’s a form of sexual abuse. There should be consent even with words.
