Hmm 🤔 wow after my rape I sought lots of pregnancy care, information on pregnancy and pregnancy pamphlets etc I filled out paperwork for a prenatal appointment, my mind was choosing a safer and less shameful next  step, vs going to hospital to get rape care/information on rape wow! Pregnancy was a way to cover myself from shame and embarrassment and uncomfortable questions and to keep a level of normalcy, pregnancy care centers are often supportive and non judgmental and have many options, with pregnancy women often get gifts not just for the baby, but themselves too, hence restoration of what I no longer had and what was taken from me, I’d get things given to me instead of taken, as a mom to be, and in a pregnancy care center there’s other women going through body and emotional changes, hence relatability in a way, vs with rape it seemed something most people didn’t go through, pregnancy body and emotional changes are expected vs rape: theres often less known about it and what to expect, also scary but little did I know some of those women I saw at the pregnancy care center may have very well been pregnant as a result of rape, I was trying to surround myself around someone who was in my situation and who I could relate to. I was reaching for understanding! Wow and yikes, it’s no coincidence I was there during that season, maybe that was even me getting in my purpose despite my pain, getting into purpose to help those who were raped pregnant or non pregnant, married, unmarried or young/old, sometimes it’s not even about saying anything, but presence, presence can be a light and a reminder to those who need support and strength, though I wasn’t carrying a literal physical pregnancy, I too was carrying a heavy load and going through many emotions, hmm maybe also I needed to be in a environment to see strong women who could carry well too. Wow God works in some great ways that don’t always make sense but have a purpose!
