Get back on the bike 🚲

  • Posted on November 5, 2025

Let’s be honest we all remember when we first learned how to ride a bike in our childhood. I know I sure do, now for a while I remember being scared to ride a bike without training wheels as i thought I’d fall. But of course I wanted to learn especially seeing other children around me riding bikes. I remember the first bike that I learned to ride it was very cute and girly. I was intrigued by that, I fell a few short times even after I became a full on rider I still fell a few times but that didn’t stop me I was determined to enjoy the summers riding my bike and looking good. Well this applies spiritually in many ways as believers we may fear falling in this life, and not just falling to sin but falling into any trouble or chaos such as sickness, disease, lack, depression, failed relationships etc see falling can happen to anyone on this earth saved or not. We may fall but as in the natural falling isn’t the end. You can get back up as many times as possible, in the natural if you fall off your bike you may have a few scratches or minor injuries but still that doesn’t stop one from riding again and again and the pain is often temporary. So same spiritually. In the natural there is protective gear for bike riding, helmet, knee pads etc to cover us if we fall. Same spiritually God has protective gear for us His armor which includes helmet of salvation, breastplate of righteousness and more. In the natural we often forget to put on our gear though we had reminders from our parents, same spiritually we may forget but God reminds us in His word. Don’t be discouraged get back on your bike, when we see our fellow brothers and sisters riding that should motivate us to ride with them, we lift each other up! The Bible says we have a cloud of great witnesses watching us, just like in the natural, while outside our parents may not be out there with us in close proximity but they are still witnessing everything from a far. The Bible is clear though we may fall many times we will always rise back up. Amen! It’s never over! Proverbs 24:16 for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.Hebrews 10:35-37King James Version

35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Ephesians 6:10-18New International Version

The Armor of God

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
