Christianity is not just about calling out sin—it is about confronting injustice. Too often, the focus has been placed on exposing personal moral failures while ignoring serious harm like rape and abuse. But Scripture does not support silence in the face of violence. God calls His people to seek justice, defend the oppressed, and speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves (Isaiah 1:17; Proverbs 31:8–9; Micah 6:8). Rape is not simply a “sin to be forgiven” in private—it is a violation, a crime, and an act of injustice that must be brought into the light. Reporting abuse is not a betrayal of faith; it is an act of obedience to God’s heart for justice. The Church must stop protecting reputations at the expense of victims and start standing boldly for truth, accountability, and the safety of those who have been harmed.
