The Devil had me thinking I was backslidden after my rape because I thought I sinned sexually, I stopped going to church and got into other things and of course people judged me for my struggles, but now 🤔 I realize I wasn’t backsliding I was struggling after trauma, going through a real trauma response and God was carrying me and with me through it all, God isn’t turned off by our struggles, he is with us and desires to help us during our struggles, be it sickness, trauma, depression etc. A Christian can be backslidden yes, but that must be a honest deliberate choice that one makes in a clear mental state, after rape a person isn’t in clear head space to make decisions, it wasn’t that I didn’t want God, I felt he didn’t want me! The Devil had me deceived into thinking this way wow! The Devil wanted to mess me up so bad, it all starts with his lies he tells us! God bringing me out is proof of how much he loved me through it all! 2 CORINTHIANS 12:9 And He said unto me, “My grace is sufficient for thee, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore will I glory rather in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Jeremiah 31:3King James Version
3 The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
John 8:44New International Version
44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
