You can have a thought or idea and not act on it for years or go back and forth with it, proverbs 4:23 says be careful because your thoughts run your life, thoughts both positive and negative have power and influence, scripture says cast down every high thing which means ungodly thoughts, if a weed is growing in your yard you have to cut it down so it doesn’t continue to grow bigger and kill the whole yard, hence same way with our thoughts. Don’t kill yourself, kill the thought.
