The double standard in the church ⛪️

  • Posted on November 1, 2025

If you are someone who grew up in the church you know that most of the time if a woman who is in ministry or on any auxiliary gets pregnant outside of marriage she will often be asked to sit down or even leave the church. Yet if a man in the church who is in ministry or any auxiliary gets a woman pregnant without being married he doesn’t get held to the same penalty. Even in cases where a pastor or bishop cheats on their wife they won’t get asked to step down from the pulpit. Wow. The reality is no one in church is perfect everyone has sin somewhere big medium or small. Pregnancy in itself is not a sin. God ultimately is the one who gives life so he doesn’t frown upon someone’s pregnancy however it came about. When it comes to sexual sin itself yes it’s a sin but not unforgivable, God doesn’t want us living in condemnation. Think of this in The Bible there was a woman caught in adultery everyone wanted her judged and wanted Jesus to go hard on her yet he had compassion on her, after it happened Jesus said let he who is without sin cast the first stone, he didn’t condemn the woman and made that clear to her he simply said woman go and sin no more literally that’s it. He didn’t make her hide away. Take note. If you sin in any area just come clean be honest and move forward. 1 John 1:9
