Double Dare 2000 was all about facing messy, unpredictable challenges head-on—jumping into slime, climbing obstacles, and taking risks for the win. That same spirit shows up in my book and my faith journey. Writing it meant diving into topics that some in my church found uncomfortable or controversial, taking creative and moral risks, and staying true to God’s calling even when it drew criticism. Just like the contestants who laughed through the mess and kept going, I’ve learned that growth, courage, and authenticity come when you embrace the challenge, lean into the risk, and keep moving forward—no matter how messy or bold it might seem.
